Beyond the Broncos – Term 3 Wrap-Up

Wilsonton State High School

Term 3 has been another busy and rewarding time for our Beyond the Broncos girls, filled with opportunities to learn, celebrate, and grow as leaders.

BTB Graduation Ceremony

On September 10th, we proudly hosted our Beyond the Broncos Graduation Ceremony. This was a chance to celebrate the achievements of our senior students who have worked with consistency and commitment throughout their journey. The event was filled with pride, family, and community spirit as we recognised the incredible growth of our girls.

Workshop – The Importance of Voting

In Week 8, we held a workshop focused on the importance of voting. Students engaged in discussions about leadership, civic responsibility, and how their voices matter in shaping the future. It was an empowering session that encouraged our girls to think about the role they will play in their communities as young leaders.

Road Safety with RAAP

On Friday, September 12th, we welcomed William and Kim from Road Attitudes and Action Planning (RAAP). They delivered a powerful session on road safety, highlighting the importance of making safe choices behind the wheel and as passengers. The girls took away valuable lessons that could one day save lives.

Highlights of the Term

Alongside these key events, Term 3 has been filled with learning and leadership opportunities:

  • Career Hub Sessions for Years 8 & 9 have continued, with activities that combine cultural identity and future planning.
  • Our girls have finished their Tackling Indigenous Smoking program, designing projects to promote healthier lifestyles in mob.
  • Several students have celebrated work experience and traineeships, stepping into industries like hospitality and early childhood education.

Looking Ahead

As we head into Term 4, we’re excited to finish the year strong with more opportunities for cultural connection, career development, and student leadership. We are incredibly proud of the resilience, commitment, and cultural pride our girls continue to show.
